Something Divine can only be found in little places..
In making room for anything, you usually must sacrifice something else. What you're left with is greater still..
This is an idea I've had simmering since E's foundation (actually it didn't start simmering till this morning.) Given how long it's taken to come this far, how many areas it could touch on, how many Eureka!'s the Truth it's wrestling with could elicit, here's the seeds:
Large positive defineing matter, negative space, enshrined treasure; masculine, feminine, child; devotions as exclusive hallowed-out places in the greater bulk of our lives (that God fills with his Life)...
NichesI love nooks, cubbyholes, grottoes, little way-side places, and yes niches. Naturally enough they started showing up all over E's sprawling walls, buttresses, courts and chapels... In many ways, the entirety of E'.com is a little niche carved into the web...
Well I registered etherchapel .com (as in singular), but, as I got going, the one-page chapel turned into two-hundred page compound. Everyday a new little nook, corner, room, or area would show up. Concurrently, another neglected jewel out in the created world or deposit of faith would show up on my much expanded needs-to-be-enshrined list. The two seemed to point to one another. Eventually I came up with the intention of filling all these "spaces" with html pages devoted to God through the "jewels", and devotions.. Sigh...
Sacrifice
As the ever expansive model grew in size and complexity the number of potential nooks, altars, pages, and sub-pages grew daunting to me and my potential browsers. I knew that there were some things that I was going to have to leave not-filled, some jewels un-enshrined. Some things I would have to sacrifice, in my devotion to others. All
